THE TOP 3 DECOR TRENDS OF 2021 TO GIVE YOUR HOME AN INSTANT GLOW UP

If there has ever been a time to invest in quality pieces for your home, it’s now. With most people spending more time than ever at home, it is so important to have a space you truly love being in. And there’s no better way to achieve this than buying a beautiful new piece (or two) for your place. I’ve already noticed a few new home decor trends in 2021 that I am absolutely obsessed with and just had to share! So for those looking for inspiration on how to transform your space from one you’re satisfied with into one you’re completely enthralled with, here are the top 3 decor trends of 2021 thus far.

1. Colorful ‘Paint Puddle’ Rugs

One of the easiest ways to elevate a space is with a rug, and right now, there is one carpet style that I’m seeing all over TikTok that has unofficially become the must-have decor piece of 2021. It is: the ‘paint puddle’ rug. These typically look a bit like abstract marbled paint spills and, in my opinion, they’re truly a work of art. You can even get one custom made in the size, shape, and color that’s perfect for your interior. I found the man behind the viral TikToks (which feature mini videos of him making these rugs) and it turns out you can shop his existing pieces or request a custom design on his website by clicking here.

2. Ruched Sofas

This is the ultimate Instagrammable chair and I have been seeing it in different colors and sizes all over social media the last few months. Not only does it have a super luxe aesthetic, but it also looks insanely cozy. It’s like the perfect curl-up-with-a-good-book chair, don’t you think? From what I have seen, there is a plethora of different places you can find one of these gems, and I have even seen people finding them vintage! So get thrifty and you might just be able to find this high-priced piece for a bargain.

3. Roman Pillar Legged Tables

Roman pillar legged tables also seem to be all the rage as of late. I’ve seen desk versions, like the one above, but also side table versions with only one leg. This design brings a bit of regalness to a room and gives me major museum vibes, which I love. The best part is, the one photographed above is actually a genius low-cost DIY! A fellow blogger made it using basic hardware store supplies, and shared a step-by-step tutorial on her blog detailing how you can make it too. So if you’re up for a weekend project that will save you a couple thousand dollars, click here to read her article.

And there you have it, my picks for the top 3 decor trends of 2021! Are there any other decor trends you’ve noticed so far this year? If so, leave a comment and let me know!
