THE MONDAY EDIT WK 52

Wow, week 52 is upon us, the final week of the year! And what a year it has been. For many, it has been a year of challenges, reflection, and growth. And with this, The Monday Edit has evolved as well. On my blogging journey thus far, my awareness of consumerism and excess consumption has become even more heightened. It actually shocks me to see just how many new products I have to browse through every week to compile my list of the best new-ins every Monday. Each week there are literally HUNDREDS of new items, and that’s only on the handful of my go-to web shops (Zara, H&M, & Other Stories, Arket, etc.). I attempted to offset this with also including vintage items in my new-in lists, but quickly ran out of options to include because the amount of newly added second hand items available for purchase on web shops is extremely limited in contrast to the countless pages of items from my ‘fast fashion’ favorites.

So, in 2021, I want to experiment with taking The Monday Edit in a new direction. Instead of featuring new-in items every Monday, plus a supplementary article on a random topic in the middle of the week, going forward I want to take the full week to focus on writing ONE article with a bit more substance, which I will publish every Monday. This could still include new-in products, perhaps my favorites of the month with a longer list instead of the top 11 of the week, as I’ve been doing. I want to play with things a bit and see where it takes me. And I’d love feedback from YOU, the reader! What do you want to see? Leave me a comment and let me know!
